Can you answer Richard Dickwith’s question about Depression?:

if you could give up manic depressive disorder and be “normal”, would you sacrifice the creativity and extreme elation to stop the incredible lows?

Have you claimed your Genesis site?

Depression Feedback: Absolutely. Manic depressive people are extremely difficult to be around. When they are low, they are so depressed you can’t get near them. The only thing worse is the extreme elation because they are then so darn annoying, you don’t want to be near them. Medication is a great thing.

    Depression Feedback: no. NO!!!!

I would NEVER give it up!!!!!

SO - right now I am in that low, depressive, not able to do anything mood. This last weekend I was crazed and did so much - I finished 3 watercolor paintings (I admit I was excited because I bought new paints, so that helped the elation) and did a million other things! I got NO sleep!! I think that might be my problem now. I am only online becasue I am at work, but can’t get myself to care about doing anything. But those manic mode really help me catch up and I do so many cool things.

    Right now I’m just pathetic.

Depression Feedback: I’m not manic/depressive myself, but I have several friends who are. I’ve also worked with people who suffer from this, or suffer with their spouses or children suffering from this. My observation is that those who love people with this disorder suffer terrible feelings of guilt, abandonment, frustration, and hopelessness due to the unpredictability of their loved one when they don’t stay on their meds.

Creativity, joy, passion, productivity, etc are not the exclusive venues of manic/depressive personalities. Generally speaking I believe in the axiom, “Too much of a good thing is…still too much.”
