Depression Feedback: it can cause u to have increased suicidal thoughts
Depression Feedback: Of course you don’t have to treat her differently!! The only side effects are on the patients, not their kids.
TX Mom
PS Everybody and their grandmother’s chihuahua takes anti-depressants. Ask around.
Depression Feedback: An anti-depressant causes her body/brain to function correctly, which works to remove her depression.
This is not a sudden thing. It takes time to begin working, and it works slowly, over a matter of months.
No, you don’t have to treat her any differently. Do, though, be considerate and realize it may take her longer to explain herself, or to make decisions. Too many problems or demands coming at her too fast can make the sadness return and feel out of control. She may feel tireder than usual when she is depressed. Your consideration will be appreciated.
Realize that the antidepressants are being used to help her get well.
Depression Feedback: Antidepressants are stimulants, they stimulate the brain and the heart, if you teak too much you can have heart problems I think. I am not an expert.
